COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
- Food is more than nourishment; it's dignity, it's choice, it's health. TCO community food pantry is stepping forward to ensure that no one has to choose between eating and well-being. In a time when many face food insecurity, TCO is committed to providing fresh vegetables and fruits as a foundation for better health, not just survival.
- By partnering with premier food sources in Indianapolis, TCO will bring quality choices to the table, restoring dignity in moments of need. But we don't stop there! With wraparound services focused on diabetes prevention and management, we will equip individuals and families with the tools to take control of their health.
- Because true community care means addressing both hunger and the health challenges that come with it. That's why we do what we do.
DIAPERS ARE ESSENTIAL
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
- We were blessed to discover and develop a partnership with Indiana Diaper Bank of Indianapolis in early 2020, as we searched for a unique ministry for our Eastside community. We made our first diaper outreach distribution on May 15, 2020.
- Searching the internet, we found that diapers are NOT a covered expense for SNAP or WIC participants. Many families struggle with this expense and should not have to choose between clean, healthy babies and basic household needs. It became obvious that God was calling us to fill the gap for these families.
- We currently serve 50+ families monthly.
PERIOD POVERTY IS REAL
At Temple Community Outreach Inc. (TCO), we are committed to ending this age-old concern. Through our partnership with Project Period, we are addressing the issue head-on. Every month, we distribute menstrual products to women in need, offering more than just supplies—we’re providing support, restoring dignity, and breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation.
LITERACY IS FUNDAMENTAL
